The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Norfolk Division has announced it is endorsing Kenneth Cooper Alexander for mayor of Norfolk in the May 3, 2016 city elections.
“Senator Kenny Alexander has the depth of experience, the regional focus and the business background to successfully lead our city for years to come,” said Ellen Keeter, the chairman of the Norfolk Division of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.
As mayor, Kenny Alexander will focus on getting a better handle on the technological needs of businesses and making sure our students are prepared for an array of opportunities.
“As a small business owner, I know full well that the city must continue to provide smart incentives to improve our economic base, which, of course, translates into jobs,” said Kenny Alexander. “We need to find ways to make sure that many more of the jobs go to Norfolk residents and for that we must have stronger ties between our public schools and the business community.”
The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is a pro-business organization dedicated to setting the conditions for businesses to succeed.
